Celebrate Homemade Cookie Day with Boyer Candy

October 1st is National Homemade Cookies Day! Although an unofficial food holiday, we can still certainly get behind it. Who doesn’t love a delicious, warm, freshly-baked cookie? We’re pretty sure the answer is nobody. In celebration of this delicious holiday, why not try baking a Boyer Candy approved cookie? Check out this recipe for Boyer Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup cookies!

Ingredients:

  • 30- Fun-Bite sized Boyer Peanut Butter Cups
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease cookie sheet and sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside,
  • Melt chocolate and peanut butter chips in separate bowl and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, blend together butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Beat eggs and stir in vanilla. Stir in the melted chips until well blended and stir in sifted dry ingredients.
  • Boyer Peanut Butter Cups can be chopped and folded into the recipe at this time, or used as a decoration on top of each cookie.
  • Bake cookies for 10-15 minutes.
